Under the Baltic waves, JURATE, Queen of the Sea, ruled wise and undisturbed over all marine creatures. One day, intrepid handmaids rushed to her Amber Castle bringing her news about Kastytis, a young and charming fisherman casting his nets at the edge of the marine kingdom. This novelty alarmed Jurate, who sent her most trusted sirens to admonish the fisherman.
However, the young mortal was unconcerned. Jurate decided therefore to face him herself in order to punish such outrageous disobedience. The encounter was fatal and they were both enthralled by love. Unaware of their fate, the two reached the abyss to happily live together in the amber dwelling, yet their love was brief. Thunder-God Perkunas, Jurate’s father, became furious and shattered the Amber Castle with his lightning bolts, dissolving it to its ruins.
Precious fragments of Amber emerged from the depths of the sea and come down to us in this Perfume, which preserves the vibrant tale of this forbidden love.
